Gold Finger: Make copper contact with the relevant pin by inserting one end of the PCB into the connector card slot and using the connector pin as the PCB’s external connection. Due to its finger-like form and plating of nickel or gold on this pad or copper plate of the PCB board to obtain the desired conductivity, it is known as the “gold finger.” Because of its better conductivity and oxidation resistance, gold is preferred. However, because of its high price, gold is only utilized for local gold plating, such as in soft gold PCB.
